Mental Health and a Christian Perspective

Dr. Danny Cheah, a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, will be presenting a balanced perspective on mental health issues that combine perspectives from the medical field as well as a Christian perspective.

“Don’t Just Pray It Away” will bring understanding to mental health issues in children, youth and young adults, a Christian perspective and building resilience. The seminar will end with a time of Q&A.

Bio: Dr. Danny Cheah is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist working as the Head of Clinical Services at the Alfred Hospital Child and youth Mental Health Service in Melbourne, Australia delivering mental health assessment and treatment for children and young people aged 0 to 25, together with their families. He leads about 70 mental health professionals and also provides clinical supervision and teaching. He is a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, holding a sub-specialty qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is passionate in helping people early in order to prevent long term consequences of mental illness.
