Worship
Intercessory Prayer
Prayer is one of our core values and we practice it regularly as a body, every morning and Friday night. We desire to raise prayer warriors who will stand in the front lines of the daily spiritual battles we face as individuals and as a church. In our intercessory prayer team, we strive to unite in focused-strategic prayer for the church and individuals. We also minister to people during sermon response time, interceding for those in need of prayer. We are dedicated to pray for our brothers and sisters and also for issues that rise up in individuals, the church body, our community, our nation, and our world.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 4:6-7]
Worship Team
The Worship Team exists to facilitate an environment for the Church to worship, as one body, in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). We believe that worship is more than music. It is a way of life, the response of God's redeemed people to His self-revelation that exalts God's glory in Christ in our minds, affections, and wills, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Music, however, is the one way God has given us to express our undivided devotion to Him. We desire to express this in song, dance, intercession, and the reading of Scripture as a corporate body, and allow this to overflow into living lives of worship (Romans 12:1). Ultimately, our hope and prayer is that God would be worshiped, not just in our Church, but on earth as He is in heaven.

Missions & Community Outreach
SEND! (Summer Missions Support)
We believe that every Christian is called to invest in the process of sharing the gospel. Obeying Jesus. command to go and make disciples of all nations, we seek to nurture and raise full-time and short-term missionaries within the church and to promote a worldwide mission perspective.
Ahav Community Outreach
Ahav (Hebrew for "love") is the community outreach ministry. We seek to follow Christ's command to share the good news to the poor and the brokenhearted. Our vision statement is "to bring the Gospel of hope and love to our local community." [Isaiah 61]
Every Sunday afternoon, the Ahav team members, who commit themselves for a 12-week semester, visit DeWitt Park and Open Doors (a shelter near Port Authority) to build relationships with the homeless people in the hopes of bringing to them the redemptive and restoring love of Christ. We also are planning on holding Bible studies for homeless youth at Covenant House. Along with these weekly outreaches, we also hold major events such as Friendship Dinner (free dinner and worship/performances for homeless people at DeWitt Park), clothing drives, and Operation Christmas Ahav.

Committees
Remnant runs on the time, energy, dedication and commitment of its people. And while there are many different ministries involved, committees and the work that they do can be, and often is, overlooked and taken for granted. But don't be fooled - it is through these little details, whether it's greeting people or planning events, taking pictures or making videos, designing this info booklet or the website, that help make Remnant what it is today.
Committees are a great way to know Remnant and its people. It's also a great way to serve; they are versatile in commitment, requiring as little or as much time as you'd like, yet provide all the intrinsic value that comes with serving our God. If you are interested in serving, please contact us (link to contact us page).

Committees
Welcoming
New York City is filled with diverse people with different spiritualities and cultures. Our goal is to overcome the diversity and unite us all under the banner of Christ.s love. The welcoming Committee expresses the love and joy of the gospel by cheerfully welcoming, serving, and extending hospitality to our guests and members. Our purpose as a committee is to create a sense of belonging and to ensure visitors leave the church with the full experience of a God-driven church. The committee is responsible for serving breakfast before service, making a special effort to welcome newcomers, and being readily available to answer general questions regarding the church.
Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. (1 Peter 4:9)

Committees
Media
Through various media forms, the media Committee seeks to communicate messages, ideas, and creations in relevant yet exciting ways. While serving the daily needs of the church through PowerPoint, special presentations, bulletins and other forms of publications, the committee also takes part in long term projects such as the website, video design, and photo shoots. We also work as a resource for other sectors of the church by providing the appropriate media to augment their vision and goals.
Currently the committee is divided into 4 separate teams: web, productions, photography, and print. Utilizing these various forms of media, the committee communicates information in dynamic ways and acts as an outlet for one to express their own creativity and work with all types of people and mediums.
So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. (1 Corinthians 3:7)

Events
The events Committee is involved in the planning and execution of church-wide and small-scale events. The emphasis of these events is to promote fellowship within the church body. We need Christ in every aspect of our lives, including while we're doing "fun stuff." The events Committee enables us to enjoy the presence of other remmies and helps us to get to know each other in a context outside of worship service.
The committee also serves as a resource for other ministries in organizing group events. Annual events include: church-wide picnics, small group wars, and retreats. Help plan other individual events such as karaoke night, a bowling outing, or even your own, original event idea!
And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. (1 Corinthians 12:28)

Children's Ministry
"If we want to win the world to Christ, we must reach the children. When you disciple a child, you not only invest in his future, but also in the future of the kingdom of God. That child, now transformed, in turn will transform the world around him" (Quest Ministries Internationl)
At RWC, we believe that the Lord wants to raise up an army of children who are after His heart. Therefore, we desire to partner with families in leading their children toward faith in Jesus Christ and to lay a solid spiritual foundation in their lives. Sunday morning programming as well as age specific teaching and activities provide fun, growth, and relationships for all children.
